1st Patriarch

He came from Ur in Mesopotamia, and he is known as “The Father of Many Nations”. His original name was Abram and renamed by God, Abraham. He was called by God to leave his own country and people and journey to an unknown land where he will become the founder of a new nation.

Without question, at 75 years old, Abram takes his wife, Sarai who is later named Sarah by God, his nephew lot and others to the land of Canaan, which is between Syria and Egypt.

Abram follows God’s lead without question, though not completely sure how it will all take place.

Not knowing how it all is suppose to happen, Abram also takes matters into his own hands.
